Did you know that the City of Austin will be taking over the invoicing and collection of our monthly water bills this summer?  When this takes place, it will stop the source of revenue the AMMUD Board claims to be using to keep the appearance of lower solid waste services.  How are they going to make up the difference?

Austin has been nationally recognized for 3 out of the last 5 years for their Parks and Recreation services?  They have been awarded the National Recreation and Park Association Gold Medal Award in 2004, 2006 NRPA's Excellence in Aquatics Award and national accreditation from the Commission of Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) in 2007.  They were 1 of 73 in the nation to earn that accreditation.

Did you know that on March 8, 2007 the AMMUD Board authorized its General Manager, Mike Bamer to negotiate a contract with Treasure of the Hills Senior Citizen Inc. to work as an AGENT of the MUD to perform Deed Restriction Enforcement at a cost of $1200.00 / month?

Did you know that the City of Austin has City Ordinances and Laws that will be in addition to the deed restrictions that exist for each Village in Anderson Mill?  

Did you know that the Texas State Legislature enacted a law that requires a City that annexes an area MUST; a) raise the level of services provide to the level of the City if the area has lower levels of service than the City; b) maintain the level of services provided to the area PRIOR to annexation if those levels are higher than the City’s for a period of 10 years.

Did you know that there was no MUD Board Director election in 2006? There were no residents that filed to run. That means the Directors whose terms expired were automatically renewed.

Did you know that if a MUD Board Director vacates their position (e.g. moves out of the neighborhood) a replacement Director is SELECTED by the current MUD Board? Most people in our neighborhood can’t recall voting for a MUD Board Director. If you’ve lived here even 4 years theoretically you should have had the opportunity to vote for Directors 2 times!

Did you know that a Limited District is like herpes?  It never goes away!
